About Us

Texas Lone Star DOT
Consultants and Compliance

A team of retired Texas Department of Public Safety professionals dedicated to keeping your motor carrier operation fully compliant.

Who We Are

At Texas Lone Star DOT, we provide compliance services to motor carriers (trucking companies). In most states, drivers and vehicles are regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) if their vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating or actual weight exceeds 10,001 pounds. If your company solely operates in Texas, then drivers and vehicles are regulated by the FMCSA if their vehicle weight or gross vehicle weight rating exceeds 26,001 pounds. If you are carrying hazardous materials, it is highly likely you are regulated by the FMCSA and PHMSA.

At Lone Star DOT Consultants and Compliance, we take pride in our Training, Certifications, Experience, and Credibility. If you choose to do business with Texas Lone Star DOT, you will have a team of highly qualified DOT experts working on behalf of your company. Our team is made up of retired Texas Department of Public Safety personnel which includes both Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers (Federal Inspectors) and Compliance Review Investigators.

We enjoy being able to offer our services and help carriers attain the kind of compliance that is demanded by the feds (FMCSA). To do this we will need access to your files to see if guidelines are being met and will need access to your drivers and mechanics to train them on what inspectors will be looking for so they can get better inspections with fewer or no violations. In the world of compliance, it is better to be proactive than reactive.

Lone Star oversees your compliance program and looks for risks that might cause bad inspections or alerts to the FMCSA. If we work together, we will succeed! Our goal is to keep your company in full administrative compliance. We liaison with current DPS enforcement personnel monthly and maintain a professional relationship with those who regulate the transportation industry.
